Named in honour of our daughter, Amelie-Marie, a name of French origin meaning “Work”.
Probably inspired by the name of French King Louis Philippe’s consort Marie-Amelie, Balzac used the name for two of his prominent characters.
The Amelie cutlery pattern was designed and made by Legacy Silverware in 2019 for an exclusive London restaurant, and is our newest & proudest piece with its contemporary linear handles, making it very elegant & extremely bold to hold.
The Amelie set is only available in Silver Plate handles.
Due to its bespoke nature, this pattern is tailored to individual needs on the high end range and through personal request only.
Amelie to us represents strength, beauty and liveliness – alike our daughter of whom it was named after – and a true meaning to the word Legacy.
